Religions for Peace: Peace Conference in Lindau
Starting on October 4, a peace conference will be held in Lindau in cooperation with the NGO "Religions for Peace" from New York. Religious representatives from around the world will gather in the Inselhalle on site and also digitally. Around 150 guests are expected to attend the hybrid event this year, with a further 800 virtual participants from more than eleven world religions. One of the highlights will be the Diplomatic Round Tables. The aim of the peace conference in Lindau is to bring people together in dialogue, regardless of their religious affiliation, to discuss problems and challenges and, ideally, to solve them. Which guests and speakers will be there and what to expect:
In October 2021, Sheikh Eşref Efendi and Feride Funda G.-Gençaslan attended the 10th World Assembly of Religious Leaders of Religions for Peace in Lindau. It was a spectacular event! The best we have seen so far on the subject of interfaith encounters in Germany. The American format was so well received here that there will be a sequel this year on the theme of "Women, Faith, and Diplomacy." Unfortunately, it will only take place online, but we are still looking forward to the opening today.
